A frameless glass shower gives this enclosure a clean, uncluttered look. The multiple water sources provide a variety of soothing and relaxing sprays to help start the day.

The materials chosen for this space had to reflect the aesthetic sensibilities of its occupants. The playful mixture of varied-sized marble tiles lends its subtle pattern, while black granite surfaces bring contrast to this rich, yet neutral palette. Antique glazing on the customized cabinetry brings warmth and helps ground the space, while crystal pulls and beveled mirror glass add sparkle. A decision was made to exclude artwork from the walls so as not to compete with the beauty of the textured wallpaper.

Polished nickel fixtures elevate the feeling of luxury. The Black Forest granite provides the perfect backdrop, while the textured wallcovering delivers artistic expression.

The warm, rich wood tones and playful mixture of patterned and textured fabrics define this space. The taupe wall color and a burning fire in the hearth create a soft, comfortable place to land at the day's end.

The neutral-colored wall tiles and an ogee chair rail add contrast to the countertop, shower ledges, and bench seat of black granite. The matching granite tile inserts add pattern and contrast to the neutral ceramic tile floor. A skylight fills the space with natural light.

The copper undertones of the oil-rubbed bronze cabinet hardware, faucets and shower fixtures provide warmth, depth, and balance to the room’s lighter elements. The cabinetry’s antique glaze brings in old-world charm, softness, and definition.

This kitchen renovation presented more than a few challenges. An exterior entrance and stairs needed to be removed, a broom closet was relocated, and a secondary window was installed – all while maintaining the same square footage. Additional storage and prep areas were a must. Outdated cabinetry was replaced with new, more detailed millwork. Multiple levels of lighting were employed, including display, task, under-cabinet, and general illumination.

What was once a narrow, cramped space with an exterior entrance and a broom closet has been replaced with double ovens, a prep sink, and a new window that brightens the space.

In this diminutive sitting room - all of 100 square feet, every bit of real estate needs to count. A generously sized window bathes the room in natural light, while warm colors of butter-yellow walls and gold-toned fabric give the space a soft glow. The light color palette assists in making this petite room feel open and expansive. The impressionist landscape provides a strong focal point, helps bring the outside in, and lends a feeling of tranquility.
The combination of natural light, warm colors, and a single piece of meaningful art creates a cohesive and harmonious atmosphere. The overall effect is intentional and cozy, not cramped or cluttered.

This narrow powder room, that snugly fits under a staircase, packs a powerful punch. The French-gold tones of the chandelier, wall sconces, and mirror, together with the metallic accents of the wallpaper, brighten this windowless space. The bevel of the mirror, highly polished brass accessories, and a multitude of crystals capture and reflect light in an otherwise dark space, transforming this room into a small "jewel box.”
The organic shapes of the sconces and mirror help to soften the room's right angles, while the floating vanity keeps the floor clear, creating an illusion of more space.

This bathroom presented several challenges. There was an oversized soaking tub, a shower the size of a phone booth, an outdated linoleum floor, and builder-grade cabinetry. The shower was swapped out for a linen closet - improving storage, and the large soaking tub became the new footprint for a generous walk-in shower. Large-scale floor tiles replaced the linoleum, which kept grout lines to a minimum and gave a cleaner, more modern look. A semi-custom cabinet replaced its former occupant, improving both function and aesthetic appeal.

Furnishings here were kept to a minimum. A soft valance paired with matching paneled draperies frames the view of the gardens and outdoor seating. Cotton and flax fabric surround the windows, while a richly textured area rug grounds the room and softens the hardwood flooring. Generously upholstered custom seat pads provide added texture and comfort, while the modern farmhouse ceiling fixture offers a soft glow.
The furnishings are simple yet functional, and the decor creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that remains uncluttered.

The homeowners' aesthetics are reflected in the integrity of the materials chosen for this space. A mixture of polished and honed travertine wall and floor tiles, as well as decorative trim pieces, establishes a rich yet subtle color palette. The antique glazed cabinetry, oil-rubbed bronze hardware, and plumbing fixtures add warmth, character, and detail. A delicately patterned, light-hued wallpaper was installed to give the room softness and offer a counterpoint to the stone surfaces.

A two-tiered crown molding and a series of non-structural boxed beams were added to give architectural interest while maintaining the spaciousness of the vaulted ceiling. The richly detailed chandelier and coordinating wall sconces provide illumination and elegance. The intricate floor medallion, chandelier, and soaking tub were strategically aligned to offer a strong focal point.

Shower sprays of oil-rubbed bronze and a scaled-down companion floor medallion provide additional warmth, richness, and pattern to the walk-in shower.

This powder room is used mostly by visiting family members and guests. The prior aesthetic was dark and outdated. The solution was to lighten up all the surfaces. Crema Marfil marble floor tiles were installed, which provided a high impact on this small space. The original dark plaid wallpaper was removed and replaced with a bright, cheerful floral design. Plumbing and lighting fixtures of oil-rubbed bronze bring warmth and contrast. A simple light-hued Roman shade replaced the original dark curtains. Accessories were kept to a minimum to maintain an uncluttered feel.

Floor tiles made of Crema Marfil marble offer a light, airy feel, a soft pattern, and a sense of luxury. A rich, cream-colored, painted cabinet and matching mirror were installed, adding detail.

The aesthetics of this bathroom were designed for a young lady, allowing accessories to be changed out as her tastes mature. The core principle for the design was to create a timeless, neutral base with major elements, while using easily changeable accessories that introduce personality, color, and texture.
The Details
A decidedly French aesthetic was used throughout. The black Provence-style wall-mounted cabinet adds storage; small accessories and a French script shower curtain carry the theme. A Venetian-style mirror, crystal chandelier, and sconces lend their own glamour and sparkle. Plumbing fixtures and accessories of oil-rubbed bronze bring depth and provide contrast to the room’s lighter elements.

A rich, creamy-white subway tile with a matching chair rail was installed to ground the space, while a vibrant, vertical-striped wallpaper gives the room a sense of height. A modest crown molding mirrors the chair rail, provides architectural interest, and definition.

Corporate spaces need not look uninspiring. This global investment advisory firm wanted to put its best aesthetic foot forward. The company’s progressive design awareness, coupled with a world-class art collection, is a vital part of this firm’s image.
The Details
Existing art pieces as well as new acquisitions were integrated into the overall design scheme. The juxtaposition of classical furnishings – the damask wallpaper, Oriental rug, an Empire chest and contemporary art offers exceptional design. The carefully sourced blend of periods and styles feels collected, not contrived. The result is a sophisticated and inspiring environment that reflects the firm's values and global presence.

The Details
A few carefully selected accent pieces were chosen to give this formal conference room warmth. The monorail lighting system becomes its own sculptural, metamorphic art piece.

The Details
A more intimate conference room was imagined for informal meetings. The plush, tailored seating, together with the embossed natural grasscloth wallpaper lends softness, texture and warmth. The curvy wall sconces and a pair of abstract metal sculptures reinforce the firm’s artistic sensibilities and creates a space that is refined, contemporary and inviting.

Color impacts our mood and how we perceive our surroundings. It can define the edges of a room, make a surface recede or expand, be tranquil and calm, or vibrant and exciting. Color is essential, and paint is one of the least expensive ways of transforming your interior.

When considering color selections, keep in mind what the color is saying about the space. Is it a closed room that conceals a particular setting, or does it house a prized collection? In so many of today's homes, the open-concept floor plan presents the challenge of where to start with one color and begin with another.

Chester County Interiors & Design can assist you in choosing the color and finish selections that best suit your home, including water-based, eco-friendly Low VOC options. Our in-home consultations make paint selections easier than ever.

Steve has been a huge help to us, both in our longtime home of 30 years, and the home we bought last year. We really appreciate the way he approaches a project -- asking the right questions and listening to our needs and preferences. Steve is mindful of our budget and he's very patient when we need more time to think about something. Best of all, he's not offended if we send him "back to the drawing board" to look for different options. We've really come to rely on his expertise.
Nancy H – Malvern, PA
Steve has worked with me on updating my kitchen, bedroom, and family room. He listens to my ideas, willingly adopts them if he agrees, and if not, suggests alternatives to my liking. I count on him to keep my home looking fresh without breaking the bank. I highly recommend Steve to those interested in working with a talented, really nice guy.
Nancy T – Worcester, PA
This was our first time using a design professional and we couldn't be happier. Steve listened carefully to our ideas and came back with a proposal that was even better than we hoped for. When particular items (like a chandelier) were not to our taste or too pricey for what we were trying to accomplish, Steve was receptive to our feedback and flexible in finding new and more appealing options. Steve was happy to work on our schedule and a pace we were comfortable with. He recommended excellent subcontractors. We highly recommend Steve.

Stephen Dabrowski is absolutely wonderful to work with when remodeling. He helped me with my kitchen, office/sitting room, my dining area, living room, and my bedroom. I just love walking into my house. It is so beautiful from all that he did! He is prompt on his appointments, brings samples, and has fabulous ideas. I recommend him to my friends and family. He was considerate of my budget, too.
Gail M - Downingtown, PA

I hired Steve to help me with a complete remodeling of my hall bathroom. We immediately clicked! I did have a general idea of what I wanted to do, but he was able to help me develop the project into an unbelievably gorgeous bathroom! Steve really loves what he does, always takes extra special care, and sees all the work to its completion. He was exactly what I needed to get my project done!
Carol R – Newtown Square, PA
We recently renovated our kitchen. This is the third project in which we used Steve Dabrowski's services. Steve is professional, creative, and extremely easy to work with. He has many resources and is generous with his time. Steve also oversaw the entire project to make sure of its outcome. We love our kitchen.
Ron S - Downingtown, PA

I originally hired Steve to help me pick out paint colors for our master bedroom. During our initial meeting, I realized he was the designer for me. He took the time to hear my ideas and help me narrow down the direction I wanted to go. It has been over a year since our first meeting and he and I are slowly redecorating our entire home with the look I have always wanted. He is always on time for appointments, responsive to my calls and questions, comes prepared, and always has wonderful ideas! He is making our home look like a designer home while being considerate of our budget. I was lucky to find him!
Jennifer L – Media, PA
Steve redesigned two bathrooms for our 1950s home. He is very talented at designing an update that is in keeping with the original architecture of the home. Steve is very pleasant to work with, too!
Amy B – Wilmington, DE

We hired Steve of Chester County Interiors & Design to help plan and design a complete living space for my handicapped mother. He developed a workable floor plan for my mother, who is currently wheelchair-bound. He created a barrier-free apartment that allows her to move about freely, but kept it aesthetically pleasing and functional for our current and long-term use. Steve took the basement from bare cinderblock walls to a completely polished, gorgeous luxury apartment with all of the necessary components for her independence. I would strongly recommend him for your next design project. You won't be disappointed! Feel free to contact me if you want any more information about this project
Chris D – Media, PA
I would highly recommend Stephen D! I called Stephen this past Spring as we were planning to renovate our kitchen and needed help. Stephen came over for the initial consultation and took the time to listen to our goals for the kitchen, our style, and our budget. We decided to partner with him and the process was extremely smooth! Stephen took care of all measurements and came up with several ideas for our new kitchen. All we had to do was choose each option and he took care of everything else!
… our kitchen demolition and remodel completed in about 5 weeks – this included a complete gut, wall removal, and construction, reworking of all plumbing and electrical, install, paint, and final touches. Stephen D’s rate and work are top-notch!
